Project Contributions

I did the minutes of the meetings, and will create a template of the minutes to allow faster creation of future minutes.

I also help to refine the text so that it’ll be suitable and easier to present by the presenters.

I also sourced out some real life examples that we can use and also allows people to understand the idea clearly.

  • Did some comparisons of Zipline drones and a similar company that I had found online.
    • To begin, I used ChatGPT to first find some other companies that also operate drones as a delivery service in SEA and gotten an Indonesian Company named Garuda IO.
    • Proceeded towards their website to see what information they have on their drone and found out that their drone [Cerena X8] while is a technically a tilt rotor, it does not have proper lift generating devices such as wings.
    • Although the drone is technically different, I did a quick comparison of performance statistics of both just to have a quick idea in the differences. The main difference is their payload carrying capacity with the Cerena X8 being able to carry up to 10kg of payload while the Zipline platform 1 only can carry up to 1.75kg. However, the Zipline platform can reach 100km in range while the Cerena X8 can only reach 20 km at most.

  • Searched on the internet for any relevant academic papers with regards to Tilt rotor drones
    • Found a research paper done by students from the University Of Berkeley with regards to tilt rotor drones. The research paper shows their workings and the theories they tested such as in flight speed, flight efficiency.
  • Did a Benefits Analysis of the proposed design, outlining the advantages of the hybrid tilt-rotor design, such as improved precision, flexibility, and range.
